Tomb of Xin Zhui, known as Tomb No. 1 at Mawangdui, was excavated in Changsha in 1972. The reconstructed tomb allows us to see the structure and burial space of a Western Han tomb. More than a tomb, it was a carefully constructed space for the journey into the afterlife.
